From the beginning until today:

eleven years at the service of sustainability

Our goal: Sustainability

We are a non-profit Consortium, established to fulfil the regulatory obligations that consider the Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) Producers the responsible of the waste management deriving from these ones (WEEE), in all the steps following their collection.

We set up in November 2004, on the initiative of the most important Producers of large household appliances (refrigerators, washing machines, ovens, hoods, water heaters) but - due to a series of delays in issuing the WEEE related Decrees - we became operational from the beginning of 2008.

With the entry into force of the Decree n. 188/2008 on batteries, we have also become a Consortium for the management of batteries and accumulators.

We were born to meet the legal obligations, but we did not stop. Since our establishment, we immediately stood out for our interest in the environmental protection, which has become for us - together with the care of our Members Producers interests - the main goal of our activity.

We have interpreted the task entrusted to us by the law as a responsibility and a commitment: the responsibility to build a positive model, a new example of the Italian excellence, a sustainable value and the commitment to strengthen the culture of the sustainability and to promote the adoption of more environmentally conscious daily behaviours, stimulating the public opinion, the media and the institutional decision makers.

After some years, thanks to the experience gained in the field of the Household WEEE, we have expanded our area of intervention, dealing first with the Corporate WEEE and then with every kind of Corporate Waste.

So, ECODOM RA was born; a highly specialized organization, able not only to manage any kind of special waste, but also to provide the right advice to the Companies, in order to facilitate the waste disposal and the recovery operations in the full compliance with the current legislation and the environmental protection.

Today, we can proudly say that we are the largest Italian network, with thousands of Collection Facilities distributed all over the national territory, able to guarantee a widespread service even in the most difficult areas to reach and with a very high level of service; at the same time, our centralized management allows the customer to have a single contact, even in the case of multiple locations to serve.

At December 31, 2018, ECODOM consists of 124 Member Companies.

Since 2008 we have organized and coordinated the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Waste treatment and the Waste from Batteries and Accumulators.
Since 2011 we are certified UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015 (Quality Management System) and UNI EN ISO 14001: 2015 (Environmental Management System).
